Isamu Noguchi

Prominent japanese american artist and landscape architect whose work spanned for six decades. Born in L.A. in 1904 he started his artistic career in 1920´s. He gained acclaim and prominence in second half of 20th century, leaving large scale sculptures in cities around the world. In its obituary for Noguchi, the New York Times called him “a versatile and prolific sculptor whose earthy stones and meditative gardens bridging East and West have become landmarks of 20th-century art.”
