While searching for more images by my favorite M. Šašek, I’ve discovered Mary Blair. For those from western hemisphere she isn’t unknown I’m sure. But being raised on the unfortunate side of the Iron Curtain, Walt Disney was one of those forbidden fruits. There weren’t more adequate symbols of capitalist evil than Mickey Mouse & co.
Mary Blair was prominent artist in creating visuals for Disney’s films, theme parks and a lot more. He personally respondentů to her palette of vibrant colors and stylized graphics.
Despite you can easily find her style included in 1950’s or so, I find it still attractive and inpirative.
