Of course you do remember the Dude, Big Lebowski, sipping white russian in Jackie Treehorn’s mansion. But have you noticed the amazing cosmic architecture of the interior? My first thought was that they borrowed it from Star Trek studio. The polygonal building is real, however, and contrary to the film fiction it doesn’t stand on the beach, but overlooks LA from the hills. It was designed by John Lautner, an influential american architect whose work in Southern California combined progressive engineering with humane design and dramatic space-age flai.
